Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gconf
Failed miserably after upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10
My system boots but has a shed-load of packages that need updating.
Anything you do fails because of gconf2 not being configured.
Removing/reinstalling gconf2 is not an option as it will remove the bulk
of my software apps?
