Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
Evolution installs 2 desktop entries: 1. evolution.destop in Applications > Office > Evoltion Mail and Calendar 2. evolution-mail.desktop in Applications > Internet > Evolution Mail The latter appears untranslated, although translations for it are available (see https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/maverick/+source/evolution/+pots/evolution/ca/+translate?batch=10&show=all&search=evolution+mail, for example). I'm still not sure why translations are not loaded, since it seems that the gettext domain is specified correctly: $ cat /usr/share/applications/evolution-mail.desktop [Desktop Entry] Name=Evolution Mail Comment=Read and write emails Exec=evolution --component=mail Icon=evolution Terminal=false Type=Application Categories=GNOME;Network; StartupNotify=true X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Bugzilla=GNOME X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Product=Evolution X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Component=Miscellaneous X-GNOME-Bugzilla-Version=2.27.x X-GNOME-Bugzilla-OtherBinaries=evolution-data-server-2.28;evolution-alarm-notify; X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=evolution-2.30 ** Affects: ubuntu-translations Importance: High Status: Triaged ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ubuntu-translations Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Importance: Undecided => High -- Translations not loaded for the "Evolution Mail" desktop entry https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/631106 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
