Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Dist : Ubuntu 10.10 (beta)

STP:
- Uninstall Evolution from Ubuntu Software Store
- $ dpkg -l evolution
=> The package state is "rc".
- $ dpkg -L evolution
=> The file /etc/xdg/autostart/evolution-alarm-notify.desktop still exist
- $ dpkg -S /usr/lib/evolution/2.30/evolution-alarm-notify
=> libevolution provide the binary
- $ ps -ef | grep evolution
fabiena   1806  1731  0 09:41 ?        00:00:00
/usr/lib/evolution/2.30/evolution-alarm-notify
fabiena   1841     1  0 09:41 ?        00:00:00
/usr/lib/evolution/e-calendar-factory
fabiena   1851     1  0 09:41 ?        00:00:00
/usr/lib/evolution/e-addressbook-factory
fabiena   2777  3405  0 16:25 pts/0    00:00:00 grep evolution
=> Amazing

Expected result: when evolution is uninstalled, there neither should be
any program directly related to evolution installed nor even running !

The trouble can be definitely fixed by purging 3 packages: $ sudo apt-
get purge evolution libevolution evolution-data-server

** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
