Hi all and in front the developer. Same bug here - but that is not the
whole reason why I am writing. I saw that you have put the bug under
importance medium, first of all - in my opinion the user interface
should work, you get crazy always clicking on the wrong icon, or waiting
for the popups to arrive. Second - your solution for a workaround is not
acceptable - that I found out myself - but not practicable. I try to
convince all my customer and friends to jump over to ubuntu - well it is
hard in this moment. I understand that secutrity goes first, but in this
case, it is more than annoing to work.I am a professional
softwaredeveloper and web-designer, so I need this to go smothly. And
please do not tell me, I should place all apps on one (default) panel -
no room for that, I asure you. I am using wine, VM, a lot of IDE's and
editors, and always to go in the main menu - well - at least that Win
did better. and I hate win - since 1985 (at that time I worked with Unix
V too). so please - you nice people from ubuntu - I love your
philosophy, that is why I choosed ubuntu among all the other distris -
do something about it. X11 with Gnome would be perfect for me, and it
was until the last update.

I can't not quite follow the the previous writer, quoting:

"the slower your disks and the more startup applications you have the more
likely you are to see the problem."
I have a quad-pro and a pretty fast HD - still the problem turns of every time
I start (and that is annoing, because I have to start anew 10 times aday -
testing apps with win, wine and VM).

To the writer "Mal" - it also seems to me as possible temporary
solution, but still I am not quite satisfied - too many apps, and for
that I would need a 4.th panel.

Thanks and regards,
Dag Jarle Johansen
