You have been subscribed to a public security bug:
When I close my laptop lid, the screen is usually locked when I open it
again. However, if I close the lid early in the login process, the
screen is not locked when I open it again.
Steps to reproduce:
1) At GDM prompt, enter credentials,
2) Immediately close the lid,
3) Wait while the login process completes,
4) Open the lid again.
What I expected:
The screen is locked.
What actually happens:
The screen is not locked.
** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
