I launched quadrapassel a few weeks ago and it worked, now it does not. I have been installing all the Maverick Meerkat package upgrades for the past few weeks and am assuming it is a regression error, if not in the gnome-games package then in a package it depends on.
I am launching it in a very vanilla fashion - I am sitting at my 10.10 desktop, go in the default GNOME to Applications -> Games -> Quadrapassel and it fails to load. I then go to a gnome-terminal and try to run it from there, and the message I see is shown below. This seems to be failing for people whether or not they have X11 forwarding, as the original bug submitter says he has turned on. I do not have X11 forwarding turned on, yet it is still broken for me. I asked a few people on the IRC channel #ubuntu+1 if they could launch the program, the two that tried could not. I am assuming this is failing for almost everyone, I have not found an up-to-date 10.10 system that quadrapassel works on. Here is the error I'm getting. $ quadrapassel (quadrapassel:2545): ClutterGLX-CRITICAL **: Unable to make the stage window 0x4800005 the current GLX drawable (quadrapassel:2545): ClutterGLX-CRITICAL **: Unable to make the stage window 0x4800006 the current GLX drawable (quadrapassel:2545): ClutterGLX-CRITICAL **: Unable to make the stage window 0x4800005 the current GLX drawable Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'quadrapassel' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 69 error_code 9 request_code 137 minor_code 12) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) aborting...
