OOPS! This is a simple configuration error. I did not realize that
Firefox cached my default "mailto" application as a preference. I
further did not notice, after clicking on "mailto" links, that the mail
composition client window was Evolution (not Thunderbird).
Fix: In Firefox, select "Edit/Preferences". Select the "Applications"
tab, then find "mailto", and select "Thunderbird".
