When I tried to play it didn't respond at all so I went into the DVD
drive through "Computer" on the desk top and found a media file which I
double clicked on. This eventually strated it playing after a fashion
but with a very pixilated image showing large swathes of green and
silver.
Sorry I can't be of greater help as I am new to ubuntu and not very
good.
