Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

The system menues are very long. It takes time to find the correct menu
item, and the menu does not fit on a netbook display without scrolling.

I sugges that some menu items should be hidden by default when there is
an easy way to access the settings (from a panel icon for example)

Here are some examples:

Bluetooth: The settings is more easily accessed from the icon in the panel
Sound: The settings is more easily accessed from the icon in the panel
Network settings. The settings are more easily accessed from the nm-applet
Chat accounts and About me: Can be accessed from the dreaded chat menu
Language support: Feels like it should be a integrated into the software
sources (?)

This may effect other packages as well.

** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
