Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
The settings for desktop background colour (this includes the setting
solid/vgradient/hgradient and the actual colour values) keep resetting
themselves.
How to reproduce:
1. Set a vertical gradient from yellow to red
2. Select any background that has a different aspect ratio than the screen
3. Verify that the setting is now solid _purple_ (!)
4. Set the "style" to "zoom" and verify that your desktop image is now has
purple borders.
I don't even like purple.
