Public bug reported:

To replicate:
1. Open System > Administration > Network Settings
2. Choose an unencrypted wireless around hoping dhclient will fail to get an ip
3. Hit "Activate"
4. When getting an ip fails / times out, the "activating interface" popup
dissapears and in the appropriate "network settings" info box shows it as if
wireless is connected.

What should happen:
1. same
2. same
3. same
4. popup should dissapear, tell the user that the interface could not be
activated, and "network settings" part for wlan0 / eth1 should read "interface
not active"

Why a bug:
User will not understand why s/he cannot access internet unless s/he checks
manually with ifconfig / iwconfig.

** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Medium
         Status: Unconfirmed
