I have a Dell Vostro 1510 laptop and have the same issue. Pressing the sleep button (Fn+F1) hibernates rather than sleeps. I am running a freshly installed 10.10.
A bit of googling shows other people have the same problem: http://forum.notebookreview.com/dell-xps-studio-xps/346046-sleep-button- hibernates.html -- Sleep button action does the wrong thing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/544692 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
