Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gdm
With the default Unity desktop for Ubuntu 11.4 there will only be one
system bar which is placed on the top of the screen. The bar on the
bottom will vanish (and remain available just for the users of the
Classic Gnome interface).
The GDM bar (with the list of the different sessions and the shutdown
button) should therefore be moved to the top of the screen to offer a
coherent boot experience.
And it should be turned into a black bar to match the Unity one. Again
for the sake of coherence between the standard desktop look and the
standard GDM look.
Since fixing the bug shouldn't require too much computer science, I plan
to nominate it for the papercut project.
