Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
- start gedit, open the file browser plugin and show it (F9) on the left side. - navigate to any directory. - create a new empty file in gedit, and click on "save". -> what I expect: the file dialog shoud show the directory I just navigated into. -> what's happening instead: the file dialog shows my home directory. That's unconvenient, and could be fixed with small manpower (unforunately I can't program C) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: gedit 2.30.3-1ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-23.41-generic 2.6.35.7 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-23-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Sun Dec 5 16:23:48 2010 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gedit InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release amd64 (20101007) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=de_AT PATH=(custom, user) LANG=de_AT.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gedit ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug maverick -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/685541 Title: gedit: saving new file should be in actual directory -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
