Try what it feels like via today's Pidgin, is what i suggest! The integration feels good, even though it is a little flawed..
With bubbles from Notify OSD and indicators in the Messaging Menu, Skype feels so much more like home! Until Telepathy speaks Skype, i can live with having a client running in the background.
