Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better. The
contact list is expandable on the right hand side of the screen. Please
check there and see if anything shows up. Otherwise please provide
screenshots of the issue, as well as a telepathy-idle log which you can
get from Help-->Debug on the top menu.
