Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gconf

In Ubuntu 10:10:
I'm trying to pair a microsoft 6000 bluetooth keyboard. After I enter the
confirmation code, 99% of the time I'm then prompted with a dialog saying the
device wants to pair with the system and would I enter a PIN.

I have tried every option on the PIN menu and none of them result in a
working keyboard :(

Once in a great while, I do not get prompted for the PIN and then the
keyboard will work ok.

Under Ubuntu 9.x, I was not prompted for a PIN. THe pairing simply
"worked" the first time.

** Affects: gconf (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
