Binary package hint: evolution

version 11.04

I was trying to set up evolution to work with gmail IMAP+ and can
compose and send e-mails but can't receive due to error message unable
to link with gmail server

I've searched the web and have followed all the configuration
instructions which are all pretty consistent

Some further advice would be appreciated
