Public bug reported:
On entering my password the spalsh screen comes up and starts loading.
The splash screen does not disappear when the desktop starts loading and
the desktop load then appears to stall with the top bar (Apps, Places,
System) not loading at all.
Only by loading with a previous kernel am I able to login consistenly.
Have resproduced this twice now.
