Fabio - designers - all, Tried it in booting from USB with Ubuntu Natty release dated 02-feb-2011 (today) in the 32bit and the 64bit versions with the nuveau(?) driver active brightness levels change without problems!
In meerkat it is now also working after a workaround using "smartdimmer -i" assigned with keyboard shortcuts to other keys. With the latest (260.19(?)) version of Nvidia drivers active.
