This bug is not a duplicate of #708404: * 708404 has a segmentation violation and crashes, 711943 does not have a segmentation violation * 708404 does not spit out glib errors, 711943 does * 708404 occurs whether the window is closed by hitting the X on the top left of the application window, closed by typing Alt-F4, by right click on the application menu and scrolling to close, or by going to the new top Gnome menu and closing by File -> Close. 711943 only occurs when going to the new top Gnome menu and closing by File-> Close. * 708404 occurs at one point in the code, having to do with linearization. 711943 occurs in another part of the code. * Most importantly 708404 has a patch which will fix the segmentation fault it reports. This patch does not fix the 711943 problem.
If the patch for 708404 is implemented, the 711943 bug will still remain.
