Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I had formatted a hard drive (full space usage) for the latest system...only to
find it can't work with previous versions, has
many episodes where it slows (to a crawl - if I'm lucky) when trying to view
photo "icon"/thumbnails! According to to the
title bar there's a "bug" with the "nautilus" package.....I can't tell you if
that was what caused my problems?

I couldn't get into the Kubuntu program/system - had no way to remember the
login & password (and there's apparently....no
way of getting "hints" or choosing a secret question & providing a secret
answer to re-establish - login capability(s) ?

I found that the smoothness of the system....seemed to be very responsive,
however, for my uses....not being able to
copy-paste/interact with previous versions....is a real problem for me. I'm not
knowledgeable enough on Linux to know
which (extensions) will work with previous systems and whether a "swap"
file/share/area allows this.

Having used many systems; from CPM-Dos-Windows Vista (crap)...I'm guessing that
windows users.....were treated/allowed
access & use to; programs, option, and files, through a graphical
screen....which required more memory.

Any help/suggestions - would be helpful for a Windows dummy like me?
Thank You - AHNauss
