There is indeed a Move To and copy To section in nautilus context menu
but:-
1. Somehow nautilus never lists removable device targets(usb drives etc.)
2. There should be a user configurable GUI in nautilus options to add more paths
3. "Move to Desktop" on windows creates a link instead of actually copying
items on Windows and this is what most people expect
We should:-
1. Add a directory picker in nautilus preferences to add custom targets
2. Automagically list any attached writable removable media (External hard
drives, usb keys, writable dvds)
3. Include both the options to move to desktop and link to desktop
I currently use scripts installed via Ubuntu Tweak for these reasons but
new people I introduce Ubuntu to don't like the hassle of using an
external configuration tool.
Come to think of it, we should allow people to install custom scripts
easily from Edit menu ...Preferences with an "Extra Features for
Nautilus" or something tab
