Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome
I start a new session and open a few applications. All is good.
Then I close the lid and the computer goes to sleep.
After opening the lid the computer wakes up, ok.
Then I try to launch any applications: it does not happen.
Applications launched before putting the computer to sleep are fine and
can work fine, for example in firefox I can "open a new window" or tab
without problems.
Applications launched after waking up can be actually listed with a
"top" command, but they are frozen.
Even clicking on the applets does not work, i.e. I cannot even reboot
the computer or exit my session from a GUI. I need to control+F2 to a
tty, login and "sudo reboot" to regain control of the GUI.
Computer: powerbook Ti 3.5 1Ghz 512 Mb running kubuntu edgy as of
yesterday.
** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
