Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

PostSession/Default is not run if I close my session by shutting down or
restarting my computer. It is only run if I log out. Default should be run in
those three ways.

To reproduce, put

#!/bin/sh
touch /home/your_username/postsessionOK

into /etc/gdm/PostSession/Default, and end your session by restarting or
shutting down your computer. The file is not touched.
If you end a session by logging out, the file is touched.

It is important because most of the time users do not logout but
shutdown especially on networks. It prevents from doing administrative
tasks at postsession.

This affects both Maverick and natty beta 1.

This bug has been fixed in gdm but not "gdm in Ubuntu".
