Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
Since Beta1 upgrade April 5th my evolution Google calendars have not
been syncing. The notable symptom is that when browsing an email
calendar invite, Evolution appears to be searching for a matching event
indefinitely.
At first, I though this was related to another Google sync bug 755043,
but it turns out it is not.
As a workaround, I was able to get all my calendars working again by
simply right-clicking properties, and re-retrieving the calendar list,
at which point it re-prompted me for my password.
After doing this for each of my Google calendars (I have three linked to
Evolution) they worked as expected.
At no point did I receive an error message, or any indication that these
were not functioning. Since I had them setup for "copy for offline
mode" there were even old calendar items populated.
The issue is that I would expect some users might not notice that their
calendars are not working properly, and there is no guidance or
intuitive way to simply enable them again after the upgrade.
