Public bug reported:

In the Wireless connection -> Properties:
Clicking on the "Network name (ESSID):" drop-down box does not give the list of
Access Points and Ad-Hoc cells in range.

Looking for the WIFI manually via "iwlist ath0 scan" gives me a long
list of Wireless Networks in range.

This began to happen as I upgraded to EdgyEft 6.10, while on 6.06 this
tool worked fine.

** Affects: gnome-nettool (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
