Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

This bug has also been reported in Unity
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/762871)

Hi, there is a small very annoying bug when using unity and the gnome-
display-properties utility ("Monitor preferences"). When you use the
utility in full screen mode the name of the display appears on the top
left corner which "covers the "close, minimize, maximize" buttons on the
panel. This is quite an unfortunate behavior. I know the neither unity
settings nor the display settings are at fault, but they "don't play
well together". One should think of a different way (maybe transparent,
or a few pixels below the panel) to display the screen name. I am
attaching a screenshot to better visualize what I am describing.

** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Confirmed
