It works flawlessly with Thunderbird. And it was working in previous versions of Ubuntu. It worked fine for a year. After the update to 11 it stopped. I am having difficult to find logs / trace, otherwise I could fix it myself. Where are the evolution logs ? IMAP at least brings the Subscribed Folders, IMAP+ does not bring anything at all. I am at my company and eveybody here uses Windows but me, and I was trying to show that there are alternatives. I cannot waste more time with this because I have work to do :-( Last Ubuntu update brought so many bugs, that I had to switch back to Windows. I have the system installed and I will try again in the future, wait for some bug fixes. Probably may be something that should be updated but was not because I wanted to keep the existing configuration files (it was an update). Ubuntu needs better regression testing, to do not break working configurations. If you have a more specific question, or want configuration files or logs, please contact me.
