Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
When setting up evolution for the first time in a clean Natty install, all the settings are entered correctly but when sending/receiving, it does not ask for a password for the IMAP account and therefore does not download the mail. All it does it sit there saying connecting 0%. I have set the account up with the same details in Thunderbird and the account works, so it is not a problem with the email account. The problem seems to be with evolution in natty. I have tested a few mail accounts and all do the same thing. In 10.10 we were using evolution and IMAP without a problem. Please can someone take a look at this problem? lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 11.04 Release: 11.04 apt-cache policy evolution evolution: Installed: 2.32.2-0ubuntu7 Candidate: 2.32.2-0ubuntu7 Version table: *** 2.32.2-0ubuntu7 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: evolution 2.32.2-0ubuntu7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-9.43-generic 2.6.38.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-9-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: wl Architecture: i386 Date: Tue May 10 09:58:07 2011 EcryptfsInUse: Yes ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/evolution InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release i386 (20110427.1) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_ZA:en LANG=en_ZA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: evolution UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug apport-lpi i386 natty running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/780373 Title: evolution not asking for password in natty -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
