Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem
Watching a DVD. When I'm done I want to stop. But there is no stop button, just a Pause. Figured this was some Shuttleworth dictate (like the window buttons moving left -- which I now like) that I'd have to get used to, but after a long while I still think it's silly/unhelpful. Especially as the Eject item in the File menu is greyed out (presumably because the disk is in use in "pause" state...shame there's no stop button..oh..). Of course you can quit "Movie player" (ah, it's really called totem, I find out on reporting this) and re-start it, but that's not elegant. Please add a stop button. tar. rich ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: totem 2.32.0-0ubuntu10 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-10.44-generic 2.6.38.7 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-10-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sat Jun 18 22:06:23 2011 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/totem InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release amd64 (20101007) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: totem UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-05-10 (38 days ago) XsessionErrors: (diodon:1589): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug apport-lpi natty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/799258 Title: no stop button(!) and eject disabled too To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/799258/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
