/etc/X11/default-display-manager is present on the natty desktop images, and also on my systems which were upgraded from natty. It's not clear to me how it got lost in the first place.
I think we can handle this corner case a little more gracefully in gdm. If /etc/X11/default-display-manager does not exist at all, I think it should not start up if lightdm is also present. ** Package changed: lightdm (Ubuntu Oneiric) => gdm (Ubuntu Oneiric) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/804262 Title: lightdm and gdm start both if /etc/X11/default-display-manager does not exist To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm/+bug/804262/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
