I noticed this the other day in Edgy. I was transfering files to my
phone over a USB cable. The phone connects as a mass storage device.
The transfer progress dialog is done in a couple seconds, but it
obviously hasn't finished copying.

One time I removed the device and was given a wanring to properly
unmount the device. So maybe this warning was not in previous versions
and has now been implemented in Edgy?

But there is still a problem with this. I tried to unmount in Nautilus
by right clicking the device and slecting "Eject". Well, nautilus shows
the device instantly disappear from the menu, when in fact files are
still being transferred. I disconnect after doing this and an error
pops up that the device could not be unmounted because the device does
not exist(i removed it).

So without an accurate file progress dialog or a unmounting dialog,
there is never a way to know when your transfer is finished.
