Patching the kernel is not really feature proof for people like myself who are Linux users and not linux hackers :) What are the next step to get this fix included in Ubuntu or upstream in the Linux kernel? Are there people working on hardware support in the Ubuntu team and the Linux team following this bug report and taking action?
