I have recently upgraded my Kubuntu 11.04 powered HP laptop to Kubuntu 11.10 and the brightness I set in the power profile is not saved. After rebooting the system the brightness is set to maximum. Please help to resolve this bug. It is really annoying. The full brightness drains the battery and also affects the eyes severely. I am using a HP laptop Probook-G42 model. Ask me for any additional information to resolve the bug.
