1. Run glchess
2. Menu item "Edit->Show log" is unchecked (I use russian locale
"Правка->Показать журнал").
Click on it.
3. A new log window is presented. The menu item is checked.
4. Close log window with mouse click on close button of window frame.
5. The log window has disappeared but the menu item is checked.
