I'm sorry, I was quite in a hurry when I wrote the bug and I just
figured you would understand what I was talking about. I'll try to make
myself clearer:

In Totem versions prior to 2.16, opening and closing the sidebar would
result in the window suddenly becoming narrower. The 2.16 version seemed
to fix this, as you could open the sidebar as many times as you wanted
-which would of course make the window wider- and then close it, and the
window would return to its original size.

This behaviour seems to have reverted in 2.17.3, however, since now
opening and closing the sidebar totally messes the size of the window.


*I have to say I haven't read the how-to yet, I will print it and give it a 
thorough read at home. I think, however, that the bug is clear now...
