Public bug reported:

I have an encrypted ubuntu installation made with the Alternate CD
using the presets for Encrypted LVM. In Oneiric Beta, I still can't
mount a VG and see the disks within using palimpsest or nautilus.
cryptsetup is installed.

Disk utility gives the error:
Error starting Volume Group
An error occurred : The operation failed
Details > Error starting job: Failed to execute child process "vgchange". No
such file or directory.

Nautilus gives the error:
Unable to mount LVM2 Physical Volume
Not a mountable filesystem
