Public bug reported: When I try and play some files, totem decides it hasn't got an appropriate codec (event though I have the gstreamer good, bad, and ugly plugins installed). When I allow it to search for a suitable plugin, it suggests 'gstreamer0.10-plugins-good:i386' (and I do have the 64 bit version of gstreamer0.10-plugins-good installed).
At the moment, clicking on Install does absolutely nothing, but when this has happened in the past, clicking on Install warns that it will remove most of Ubuntu in order to install the i386 plugin. A file that demonstrates this problem is at: http://http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/video/2011/sep/15/bill-bailey- gary-numan-cars-video - it works fine in Firefox, but if I download it to the desktop (eg with the firefox Download YouTube videos plugin) and try to play in totem, I hit this bug.
