Yes, the icons show as side-by-side except when enlarged to maximum
"Ctrl++" setting (allow me to explain):

I do not know what percentage the "zoom" is set to because unlike on
Natty, Oneiric does not present a "%" setting in the nautilus toolbar.
What I did was open Nautilus with the default settings and used "Ctrl++"
to enlarge the icons to maximum.

I have a bunch of mp4 video files stored in a folder. Unfortunately,
Nautilus is not displaying thumbnails of any of the videos. So I took a
screenshot from each of the videos and gave the screenshot the exact
same name as the video, then sorted both the jpeg and mp4 files by name.
So the end result is I have a folder which contains a jpeg (which shows
a thumbnail) next to an mp4 file which does not show a thumbnail. I
enlarged the icons as large as they will go so that I can easily see the
content of the jpeg and so know what the content of the mp4 video file
is.

If I press "Ctrl++" until the icons will go no bigger, I get what is
depicted in the image I linked to in my bug report. Once the icons are
maxed out zoom wise, if I then press "Ctrl+-" a single time to lower the
zoom one level, then the icons line up left-to-right. Unfortunately,
this icon size is too small to make it easy to tell what the video
content is. So I need the largest size.

I used a laptop with Live CD to report the bug. But it is exhibiting the
exact same behavior as my Desktop computer (which does not have internet
connection at the moment).
