I have the same problem. Whenever I try to open any war files with the archive manager, I only get the following error message.
"Could not open "FILE_NAME.war" Archive type not supported." It happens after I upgraded from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10, and I didn't have it when I used 11.04.
