Public bug reported: Gnome-sound-properties only lets you set your audio device to hardware ALSA devices. However, ALSA also supports software devices.
For instance, I'm using https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BluetoothAudio to use my bluetooth headset from my laptop. With xmms, I'm able to explicitly select the a2dp alsa device (it doesn't list it, but lets me set it manually). However, gnome gives me no options for this. ** Affects: control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- gnome-sound-properties only sees hardware alsa devices https://launchpad.net/bugs/75402 -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
