Same problem here. I hadn't even noticed I couldn't edit the settings
for ripping to Vorbis or MP3, but this is the first I've tried ripping a
CD in Rhythmbox since 11.10 was released. Was that an intentional
change?

(I do hope they bring Rhythmbox back as the default player. Banshee
frequently closes itself on me, so I've given up on using it as my audio
player).

Have any of you checked to see if it has this behavior on a clean
install? I installed a few gstreamer plugins at the same time I
installed Rhythmbox; even after uninstalling them it still behaves this
way. I haven't had the time to sit down and try a fresh install and just
Rhythmbox, though.
