Earlier today, I ran updates that I have been alerted to by my computer. I didn't restart the computer until after I got your email - about 15 minutes ago - and once everything restarted, the problem was solved and everything works as it should (as far as I know). Seriously. I have had to run multiple system updates since switching over to Nautilus. Perhaps those updates were not completed until now. In any case, I no longer have the same problems that I had, and they were solved, really, within the last 15 minutes. Thanks for getting back to me. It's much appreciated, even if you didn't do much.
