This is a rather annoying issue. Looking through all the power manager settings it seems they have removed the brightness_battery and brightness_ac settings that used to achieve this. Hopefully it will be back in 12.04
Until then a possible solution is to write a script that sets the back- light brightness on ac -> battery and back. ** Package changed: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) => gnome-power- manager (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884041 Title: Screen brightness not adjusted when switching from AC to battery To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/884041/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
