Public bug reported:

1) open two instances of gedit.
2) open 2 text files in gedit instance one
3) attempt to drag open text text file from gedit instance one to gedit 
instance two
4) gedits freeze - go gray - stop other interaction with ui
5) ctrl+alt+f1 & login.  see that gedit is 100% cpu utilization.  Only way to 
regain system is to kill gedit.
