Hi,

I started to use Ubuntu a few months ago and switched to Bluefish
editor for programming purposes. Since I am constantly developing to a
remote server through an ftp connection, I come across this problem with
the gvfs every half hour, if not more often.

While saving program codes through the editor I receive an error message
quite often stating the following:

"DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply.
Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply,
the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout
expired, or the network connection was broken."

I have checked the issue on other forums, and it seems the ftp
connection simply dies after a period and reconnection is not done
properly on the first attempt of upload. Actually, the file is deleted,
then touched, but will not getting populated, and the program would not
respond for about 20 seconds.

Once I received the error, and click Ok, the second time of saving the
data is being uploaded all right. And this gets repeated again again.
Hard to define what is the time out period.

So providing more advanced settings when making a server connection
would be useful - especially timeout value and if the connection should
be kept alive.

And I have no idea why reconnection would fail for the first time.

Also I can see that many people have signed up to be notified about the
changes of this bug but only 3 of us have marked to be affected by it.
Can you please push it a bit more and maybe mark it as being affected if
you are?

And of course, thank you and respect for the support, keeping such a
close relationship with users and the all the work you have done so far.

Regards,

Máté
