Public bug reported:

When I drag and drop a .desktop file into Gedit to edit it, I find:

1) A blank line is inserted at the beginning
2) The .desktop file is parsed and a Name[en-us] field is added to the end
3) The file is renamed from foo.desktop to foo.desktop.desktop on the system.

It should just open the file in the editor.
