I have the same problem as @ike. I think that for the average user it's difficult to know what "slowly" or "quickly" or "pressure" is correct. When you use a mouse or touchpad pointer, it's anyway a virtual object on the screen, and we don't have the "physical" feeling for "pressure" or whatever else. This behavior has to be the seamless as possible.
