I found a workaround without understanding what's going on: 1. backtrace said: [..] (gedit:7745): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: Settings schema 'org.gnome.gedit.plugins.restoretabs' is not installed [..] #6 0x01448346 in frame_dealloc (f=Frame 0x89f7e64, for file /usr/lib/gedit/plugins/restoretabs/restoretabs.py [..]
2. So I deleted the folder "/usr/lib/gedit/plugins/restoretabs/" manually 3. Now gedit is working normal again. Any suggestions what was the actual problem? ** Attachment added: "backtrace" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/941974/+attachment/2788131/+files/gdb-gedit.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/941974 Title: gedit crashes while starting with segfault in libgio To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/941974/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
